Biography
Conor Byrne is an NYC-based filmmaker, writer, and Knicks fan. He specializes in cinematic comedy with equal parts wit, heart, and meticulous visual style.
His work as a commercial director – helming international campaigns for clients like the NBA, the NFL, Hershey's, Pepsi, and many more – has won Cannes Lions, Clios, D&AD Pencils, Effies, and Shorty Awards.
His narrative shorts, including PORZINGOD starring John Leguizamo and LOUDINI featuring indie rocker Car Seat Headrest, have played festivals worldwide and been recognized by Vimeo Staff Picks and Short of The Week. Alongside his brother/producer/ ‘broducer’ Tyler, he’s in development on his debut feature film, based on his original screenplay.
Conor was reared in the mythical wonderland of suburban New Jersey and graduated from Wesleyan University, where he’s moonlighted as a visiting instructor in Film Studies. He began his career in front of the camera as a buck-toothed kid in a bad car insurance commercial.
